Ipswich man Jason Thurkettle denies groping girl in car

Ipswich: Jason Thurkettle was in a car with a girl when he allegedly made inappropriate requests. The court heard he asked to feel her breasts.

He reportedly started groping her over her clothes. The girl hit him and tried to push his hands away.

Thurkettle, 53, from Queensberry Road, denies several serious charges. These include indecent exposure and sexual assault of a child under 13.

The incidents involve two schoolgirls and date back to 2019.

The court learned he allegedly exposed himself to one girl and touched her breasts and bottom. He also tried to remove her school uniform.

After the allegations surfaced, two women told police Thurkettle wanted them to act like schoolgirls during their encounters.

When arrested, Thurkettle denied the charges. He remained silent when asked about the claims regarding the women.

The trial is ongoing.
