Dewsbury: So, there was a fire at the hospital lab in West Yorkshire, and it’s a bit concerning. The fire broke out at the Pathology lab on January 14, and it got pretty serious.
Four fire crews rushed to the scene after an automatic alarm went off. By the time they arrived, the flames had spread from the first floor all the way to the roof. Thankfully, they managed to put it out without anyone getting hurt.
The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust thanked the fire crews for their quick response. They’re still figuring out what caused the fire, but so far, there’s no sign of anything suspicious.
Firefighters used breathing gear and hoses to tackle the blaze. A spokesperson mentioned that they were called out to an automatic fire alarm and found a building fire on the first floor.
It’s a relief that there were no injuries reported. The Trust is working hard to keep their pathology services running smoothly despite the incident.
