Kosciuszko National Park: A hiker named Hadi Nazari was found alive after being missing for almost two weeks. He went missing on Boxing Day while exploring the beautiful alpine area.

Hadi, a 23-year-old student from Melbourne, sparked a huge search effort that lasted through the New Year. Hundreds of police and wildlife rangers were involved, looking for him everywhere.

He was discovered by a group of hikers near Blue Lake, about 10 kilometers from where he was last seen. They heard him shouting for help while admiring the view.

It was a huge relief for everyone when they realized it was him. Hadi collapsed into a friend’s arms, and they all shared a big group hug. It was such a heartwarming moment!

Despite the fears for his safety, the search efforts gained momentum when some of Hadi’s belongings were found near the Kosciuszko River. They even discovered a campfire and some of his gear later on.

Experts believe Hadi’s survival was thanks to his ability to find water and shelter. He kept calm and didn’t panic, which is crucial in situations like this.

Gina Chick, a survival expert, mentioned that finding water and shelter is key to staying alive in the wild. Hadi did just that, which helped him manage the hot days and stay stable.

After being rescued, Hadi was treated for dehydration. He hadn’t eaten properly for a week, surviving on just a couple of muesli bars he found in a hut.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese praised Hadi’s incredible journey and thanked all the volunteers and emergency workers who helped in the search. It really showed the best of the Australian spirit.

Hadi expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him during this tough time and asked for privacy as he recovers. What a story of resilience!
