Inside Henry Holland’s maximalist Hackney home renovation

David, who’s also in the fashion world, is super involved in the renovation too. They have similar tastes, but it can be tricky when you’re working with your partner. They’ve made wish lists for each room, but there’s always some back and forth.

Now, their bedroom suite is something else! It’s like a boutique hotel with a hidden TV and a bed upholstered in a stunning marble tapestry. The walls have this silk embossing that looks textured, and the ceiling? Absolutely stunning with bespoke mouldings.

And then there’s the dressing room, which Henry jokingly calls “obnoxious.” It’s got full-height wardrobes lined with silk and even a Twenties dentistry cabinet for his small accessories. How cool is that?

They’ve made room for guests too, with a cozy cabin bed for visiting nieces and nephews. It’s all about making everyone feel welcome.

Henry loves living in East London. There are great restaurants, and most of their friends are nearby. His studio is just a short bike ride away, and weekends usually involve walks in the park or tennis with friends.

He’s really found his groove in the world of ceramics. After his fashion label went into administration, he took some classes and started sharing his work online. Orders started pouring in, and now he’s got a thriving business!

His bestsellers include a footed bowl and chunky mugs, which he’s super proud of. He even helps fulfill orders when he can, but he loves having time to create new designs too.
