Frodsham, Cheshire, Simon Cawthra, Pumping Station, Inquest

Frodsham: An inquest kicked off at Warrington Coroner’s Court about Simon Cawthra, who sadly passed away at 70. His body was found on November 2, near a pumping station.

A passerby discovered him in the water, and Cheshire Police confirmed his identity. The coroner’s officer noted that the cause of death was ‘unnatural,’ prompting the inquest.

They decided to pause the inquest for more investigation. An internal review is scheduled for March 16, with a full inquest planned for May 22.

Victoria Davies, the area coroner, stated that given the circumstances, the death was indeed unnatural. She opened the inquest and adjourned it for further work.
