Gloucestershire: There was a crash on the A417 involving two cars, and it caused quite a stir. One person ended up in the hospital, but thankfully, it doesn’t seem like anyone was seriously hurt.

The accident happened on Crickley Hill, which is a steep part of the road. It caused some major delays between the Air Balloon roundabout and the A46 junction at Brockworth. The westbound lane was blocked for a bit, but it’s back open now, though traffic is still pretty slow.

According to Gloucestershire Police, they got the call about the crash around 10:50 AM. One person was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital just to be checked out. They’re saying it’s best for drivers to find other routes for now since traffic is still backed up.

After the crash, there was also an oil spill on the road, which didn’t help the situation. Traffic was backed up all the way to the golf course turning. National Highways mentioned that traffic has been released on the A417, but they appreciate everyone’s patience.

Inrix, a traffic and travel site, reported that there’s still queueing traffic due to the earlier accident. So, if you’re in the area, just be prepared for some delays.
