Indiana man dies in Van Wert County crash

Convoy: An Indiana man lost his life in a serious crash involving two semi-trucks. This happened on Wednesday evening, and it’s really sad news.

The accident took place around 6:16 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 30 and state Route 49 North. A woman named Amie Marie Cook was driving a Freightliner when she pulled into oncoming traffic.

Her trailer hit a Kenworth semi driven by Blane Williamson, who was 64 and from Kendallville, Indiana. Unfortunately, he suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Amie was treated on-site, but the whole situation is still under investigation. It’s a tough reminder of how quickly things can change on the road.
