Camden: Young and old gathered to celebrate the Year of the Snake. The Chinese New Year Festival was a unique event on Saturday.

Visitors enjoyed live acrobatics, music, and dance. There was a colorful costume parade and fun workshops for calligraphy, woodblock printing, and fan making.

A lion dance performance thrilled crowds at Camden Market and Hawley Wharf. Shilpi Chakraborty, a local, called it fantastic and expressed pride in the celebration.

Alan Graysmark from Cape Town visited Camden for the first time. He found the event culturally unique and amazing.

Eight-year-old Ariana Miah loved the opera singer who changed masks quickly. She noted the market was busier than ever during the celebration.

The LabTech Group organized the event, managing Hawley Wharf, Stables Market, and Camden Lock Market.
