IIT-Bombay Unveils New Sustainability Policy for Conservation Efforts

Mumbai: So, guess what? IIT-Bombay just launched its own sustainability policy! It’s a big deal for conservation and the environment. Union Minister Dr. Sukanta Majumdar was there to kick things off on Tuesday.
During his visit, he checked out some cool research and innovation projects at the institute. The new policy is all about making sustainability a key part of how IIT-Bombay operates. They’re focusing on things like environmental education, cutting down carbon emissions, and managing waste better.
Dr. Majumdar also shared a report from the Pan-IIT Sustainability Conclave. It’s all about how different IITs can work together to create net-zero campuses. Plus, he launched the first newsletter for IIT-Bombay’s Green Energy and Sustainability Research Hub.
