Tewkesbury: There’s been a bit of a stir lately about drivers getting a little too impatient around bin lorries. Some folks are even mounting the pavements just to get past. It’s pretty concerning, right?

So, Tewkesbury Borough Council and Ubico have kicked off a campaign to remind everyone to chill out and be more careful. They want drivers to keep an eye out and show some patience when waste crews are working.

With winter weather making things tricky, it’s super important to drive safely. Snow, rain, and fog can really mess with visibility, so it’s best to take it slow.

Cllr Sarah Hands, who’s in charge of Environmental Services, mentioned that most drivers are careful, but we all need to do our part. She’s urging everyone to slow down and keep safety in mind, especially for the hard-working Ubico teams.

Ubico is also asking people to report any reckless driving they see. Rob Heath, the Operations Director, said that while most drivers are considerate, the dangerous driving reports are worrying.

Gloucestershire Police are on board too. They’re encouraging anyone with dashcam footage of risky driving to share it. It helps them take action against those who put others at risk.

So, if you see something sketchy, don’t hesitate to report it. Let’s keep our roads safe for everyone!
