Ilford: A 17-year-old boy is in critical condition after being stabbed on a bus in east London. The incident happened on Saturday afternoon, around 5:25 PM, on Ilford High Road. Emergency services quickly responded to reports of an injured male.
When paramedics arrived, they found the boy with a stab wound. He was taken to the hospital by the London Ambulance Service. As of Sunday, he was still in a life-threatening state, according to police.
Witnesses say the boy was attacked while riding a route 145 bus. After the stabbing, he got off the bus at Lynton House on Ilford High Road. Emergency services were called shortly after he left the bus.
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating the case. They are looking at CCTV footage and talking to people who may have seen what happened. So far, no one has been arrested in connection with the stabbing.
