New York: It looks like the Jets might not bring back Aaron Rodgers for another season. He’s been stirring the pot with owner Woody Johnson, which isn’t a good sign.

But there’s more to the story. If Rodgers does come back, Garrett Wilson might want out. That’s right, he could ask for a trade.

According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Wilson is considering his options. He was the NFL’s offensive rookie of the year in 2022 and is due for a new contract soon.

There was even a “blowup” between Rodgers and Wilson during training camp. Despite that, Wilson’s numbers have been solid. He’s had 90 catches for 987 yards and six touchdowns this season.

But let’s be real, during Wilson’s first two years, he didn’t have one of the greatest quarterbacks ever throwing to him. So, he deserves more opportunities.

For the Jets, it’s a bit simpler. With a new general manager and coach, they might want to move on from the past decisions that didn’t work out. Even if they want Rodgers back, Woody and his sons might not be on board.

And who knows? Even if the Jets want him, Rodgers might not want to stick around in a place that’s been full of leaks, especially with the latest one taking a jab at him.
