Toronto: So, it looks like Monday is going to be a bit of a mess in Ontario. A weather pattern is rolling in, and it’s bringing some freezing rain with it. This means we could see some slick roads, especially in the northern Greater Toronto Area and other parts of eastern Ontario.

Warm air is pushing in, but it’s having a tough time getting rid of the cold air that’s hanging around. Because of this, we’re expecting some icy conditions, particularly around places like Orangeville and Barrie. So, if you’re heading out, be careful!

Monday morning is going to be tricky for commuters. The freezing rain is expected to hit just in time for the morning rush, making roads slippery. It should start to change to regular rain later in the day, but the morning could be a real hassle.

In central Ontario, they might see some icing too, but not as much as the northern areas. Ottawa is looking at about 5 cm of snow before the freezing rain kicks in later on Monday night.

As we move into Tuesday, another system is coming in from the U.S. Midwest, bringing more rain. And then, a cold front is expected to sweep through on Wednesday, which could lead to some significant lake-effect snow later in the week.

But don’t worry too much! By the weekend, milder weather should return, and we might even see that warm pattern stick around for a bit. Just keep an eye on the forecast as we head into December!
