Toronto: The 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship kicked off on Thursday, and it looks like the Carolina Hurricanes’ prospects are ready to shine.
Bradly Nadeau, the 2023 first-round pick, is on Team Canada’s top line. This 19-year-old winger has an incredible shot and is the only player from Canada currently in the AHL.
He’s making an impact on both special teams and has been hard to miss on the ice.
On the other side, Felix Unger Sorum, who plays for the Chicago Wolves, is also on a top line but for Team Sweden. He had a fantastic tournament last year and kicked off this one with two assists in the opener.
Unger Sorum is really pushing the pace for Sweden, and his hockey smarts are shining through.
Then there’s Oskar Vuollet, a 2024 fifth-round pick. He started on Sweden’s third line but recently moved up to the 13th forward spot.
Interestingly, he’s the only one of the three who scored, netting a goal in Sweden’s 8-1 victory over Kazakhstan.
