Trafford: So, there was this fire at an old school in Flixton, and it’s got everyone talking. The police are still trying to figure out who did it.

This happened on Lydney Road at the former Trafford High School, which has been empty since 2020. Fire crews rushed over when the alarm went off.

Some kids were spotted going into the building just before the fire started. It’s a bit concerning, right? The police have said they haven’t caught anyone yet.

A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police mentioned they’re following all leads but haven’t found a suspect so far. It’s a bit of a mystery.

The fire crews worked hard for about 90 minutes to get it under control, and thankfully, no one got hurt.

Three fire engines showed up to tackle the flames. They used all sorts of gear to put it out, including breathing apparatus and thermal imaging cameras.

It’s a relief that everyone is okay, but it’s still a shame to see a place like that go up in smoke.
