Hull: Elm Tree Court care home just got a big thumbs up for being Veteran Friendly. This status is a nod to how well they care for veterans and their families.
The Veteran Friendly Care Home program is all about recognizing places that go the extra mile for those who’ve served. Elm Tree Court is all in on this, following the Armed Forces Covenant to make sure veterans feel right at home.
Terry Peel, the CEO of HICA Group, which runs Elm Tree Court, shared how proud they are of this achievement. He said it shows their commitment to personalized care and respect for veterans. Being part of this program means they can offer tailored support to those who’ve served.
Kerry Moss, the manager at Elm Tree Court, echoed this pride. She mentioned that the whole team worked hard to create a welcoming space for veterans and their families. They’re just getting started and are eager to keep improving their partnership with the Veteran Friendly Framework.
The care home promises ongoing support, special activities, and access to services designed just for veterans. They’re also committed to finding ways to improve and will aim for re-accreditation in three years.
