Cape Cod and the Islands saw varying snowfall amounts, with some areas receiving nearly 3 inches after a recent winter storm.

Milton: A winter storm hit Massachusetts on Friday, leaving a snowy blanket before temperatures dropped overnight. It was quite the sight!
Milton took the lead with 6.5 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service. Meanwhile, Cape Cod and the Islands saw totals ranging from a dusting to just under 3 inches.
Here’s a quick look at the snowfall amounts reported for Cape Cod. The National Weather Service gathers this info from various sources, including volunteers and trained observers.
In Barnstable County, Bourne got 1.5 inches, while Chatham and East Falmouth only saw half an inch. East Sandwich had 2.1 inches, and Harwich, Hyannis, and Marstons Mills each received 2 inches.
Mashpee also reported 2 inches, with Osterville getting 2.8 inches. Sandwich had 1.9 inches, and Yarmouth saw 2.5 inches. Not too shabby!
Over in Dukes County, West Tisbury recorded 1.5 inches. And Nantucket County wasn’t left out, with Nantucket getting 3 inches of snow.
