Trenton: So, Trump’s talking about handing out pardons for folks involved in the Capitol riot, right? He’s planning to kick things off on his first day in office. It’s a big deal, especially since over 1,500 people have been charged for their actions that day. Some of these charges are pretty serious, like assaulting cops, while others are just trespassing.

In New Jersey alone, around 30 people have faced charges, and some are even doing time. Let’s look at a few notable cases. There’s Michael Daniele, a retired state trooper who got two years of probation after being found guilty of misdemeanors. Then we have Stephanie Hazelton, an anti-vaccine activist who served some time in confinement and is now on home detention.

And don’t forget Rasha Abual-Ragheb, a mom from Fairfield who was part of “New Jersey Women for Trump.” She ended up with two months of home detention and three years of probation. It’s wild to think about how many lives have been affected by that day.
