Melbourne: Cricket fans are in for a scorcher this Boxing Day. The city is expected to hit a blistering 39°C, making it one of the hottest days on record for the Test match.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, this year’s Boxing Day Test could be the warmest ever. So, if you’re heading to the MCG, don’t forget your sunscreen!

It’s a big deal for families across Australia, and tickets for the first day sold out fast. Everyone loves watching Australia take on India on this special day.

But it’s not just Melbourne feeling the heat. Sydney is looking at a high of 30°C, while Brisbane will be around 29°C. Other cities like Perth and Adelaide are also in for some warm weather.

Western Australia is really heating up, with some areas possibly reaching 46°C. That’s a serious heatwave! Mr. Hines from the Bureau mentioned that temperatures in WA could be 10°C to 15°C above average.

Marble Bar is set to be the hottest spot, hitting 46°C, while Pannawonica and Mount Augustus are also in for some extreme temps. Perth will be a bit cooler at 41°C.

As we get closer to Christmas, there’s a slight cool change expected, but it won’t last long. By Christmas Day, temperatures will start climbing again, especially in the southern parts of the country.
