Dunfermline: So, there were these two football thugs who really messed up. They attacked a teenage fan after a match, and it was all caught on video. Can you believe they didn’t even go to jail?
The poor kid, Kieren Ross, was just there enjoying the game when a group of Dunfermline fans knocked him down and started kicking and punching him. It was brutal, and he ended up with broken hearing aids and a lot of trauma.
When they went to court, the sheriff was pretty harsh. She said they deserved to be locked up for what they did. But because they’re young, they got off with community service instead. One guy has to do 240 hours of unpaid work, while the other is on a restriction of liberty order for eight months.
The victim shared how he’s been having nightmares and panic attacks since the attack. He even missed his school exams and turned down an apprenticeship because he was too scared to go back to Dunfermline.
It’s just sad to see how one night of violence can change a person’s life. The sheriff told the attackers they should be ashamed of themselves, but it feels like they got away with it.
