Caboolture: A tragic incident unfolded when a 23-year-old woman was found shot and unconscious on a suburban street. She was discovered outside a property, and sadly, she couldn’t be revived.
According to the police, she was chased and shot by two men just moments before she was found. Officers responded to reports of a targeted attack early Sunday morning.
When they arrived on Railway Parade, they found her in a critical state. Despite their efforts, she was declared dead at the scene.
Detective Inspector David Harbison shared that the investigation is being treated as a homicide. He mentioned that the woman was assaulted by two males who may have pursued her down the street.
Witnesses are helping the police, but there are no clear suspects identified yet. The detective noted that it was quite dark, making it hard to gather details.
He reassured the community that a dedicated task force, including local and specialist homicide detectives, is on the case. They’re determined to find those responsible and bring them to justice quickly.
