Holiday Horror After Woman Dies at Popular Beach
A tragic incident at Werri Beach leaves a community in shock as a woman loses her life during the holiday season

Gerringong: A woman has sadly passed away after being pulled from the water at Werri Beach. It was a shocking start to the Christmas season.
Emergency services rushed to the scene around 9 am on Saturday. They got reports that a woman was unconscious in the surf.
When the police arrived, they found locals and surf club members already trying to help her with CPR. The paramedics took over, but sadly, the 66-year-old woman couldn’t be saved.
She was pronounced dead right there on the beach. The police are now preparing a report for the coroner.
This incident comes as many people flock to the beautiful south coast of NSW for the holidays. Just earlier this year, another woman lost her life at Pebbly Beach due to a rip current.
