Stockport: Parents are really upset about the bus situation lately. Kids are getting late to school because the buses are either delayed or just don’t show up at all.

Last week, it was reported that the 864 bus, which takes kids from Droylsden to St Damian’s RC school, was almost two hours late. Can you imagine? Kids didn’t even get to school until 10:15 am!

Now, another dad, Aftab Marchant, is sharing his story about his son’s struggles with the 42A bus to Manchester Grammar School. This service switched to the Bee Network recently, and it’s been a mess.

Mr. Marchant said his son wakes up super early just to catch the bus. They track it on an app, but it keeps saying it’s coming soon, then just disappears. So frustrating!

On one occasion, his wife had to leave work to pick him up because the bus was nowhere to be found. There were a bunch of kids waiting at the stop, too. It’s not just one kid; it’s a whole group!

And get this, when Mr. Marchant picked up his son, his lips were blue from the cold. He had a big coat on, but still, that’s just not right.

To make matters worse, the bus didn’t show up to take him home either, so he ended up getting home really late. Mr. Marchant said he thought the service was bad before, but now it’s just ridiculous.

He even joked about it, saying it’s like showing up at the airport and finding out your flight just vanished. When he asked customer service about it, they had no answers. How frustrating is that?

TfGM’s chief network officer, Danny Vaughan, has apologized for the chaos. He said they’re looking into the complaints and trying to make things better for everyone involved.
