North Jersey: So, it looks like North Jersey is finally getting some rain this week! After a pretty dry spell, we’re expecting a couple of rounds of rain to roll in.

September was a real bummer with less than an inch of rain, and October was the driest on record. The fall season has been a record low for rainfall, which is pretty concerning.

In fact, Governor Phil Murphy had to issue a drought warning to help manage the water supply. It’s been a tough time for everyone trying to conserve water.

Starting Monday, we’ll see clouds moving in, bringing light to moderate rain. Meteorologist Dominic Ramunni says we could get about a quarter to half an inch. But the real action is on Wednesday, when we might see a couple of inches!

Wednesday is shaping up to be quite wet, so it might be a good day to cozy up inside. Plus, it’ll be a bit gusty, so watch out for some minor flooding.

Temperatures will be in the upper 50s on Wednesday, but don’t get too comfy! A cold front is coming in, dropping us back to the mid-30s by Thursday. After that, it looks like we’ll dry out again for the weekend.

So, fingers crossed this rain helps with the drought situation! Let’s hope it’s enough to make a difference.
