Wigan: A wild scene unfolded when a police helicopter caught three teens bolting from a crashed car. This all started around 9:30 AM on January 14, when Greater Manchester Police got a tip about a stolen vehicle from Northumberland Road.

The suspects took off in the car, but their joyride ended with a crash on Wigan Road in Aspull. Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt.

After a brief chase, officers from various units, including the National Police Air Service, swooped in and arrested two 18-year-olds and a 17-year-old on suspicion of burglary. They’re still in custody, being questioned about their activities.

Local detectives believe these teens might be involved in other burglaries too. Detective Sergeant Sophie O’Rourke emphasized the risks of trying to escape and how things could have turned out much worse.

She also thanked the public for their vigilance, which helped the police track the suspects. Burglary, especially involving vehicles, can really upset victims, and the police are committed to following every lead to bring offenders to justice.
