Tenby: So, there was this couple out for a stroll on the beach with their dog when the tide came in and cut them off. It all went down near East Rock House, not far from the Esplanade.

The local RNLI lifeboat crew got the call and rushed to help. They found the couple and their furry friend but couldn’t get them out by sea because it was too risky. So, they called in a Coastguard helicopter instead.

The rescue team made their way over the rocks to check on the couple and moved them to a safer spot, away from the crashing waves. When the helicopter showed up, they realized a winch rescue wasn’t safe either because of the strong winds and the risk of falling rocks.

In the end, they decided to use a rope to get the couple and their dog to safety. They carefully brought them across the rocks to a house with a garden above, where they could finally relax.

A spokesperson from Tenby RNLI said everyone was relieved to get them out of danger. After making sure they were okay, all the rescue teams packed up and headed back to their stations.
