Bangor: So, there was this pretty scary incident in Bangor where a guy named Gethin Jones got himself into a lot of trouble. He was sentenced to 18 months in jail for sexually assaulting a woman. Not cool, right?
It all went down on December 18 when he approached a woman he didn’t even know. He put his arms around her shoulders and tried to pull her into an alley. Seriously, who does that?
To make things worse, he started making sexual comments that really freaked her out. She tried to get away, but he just kept following her, making remarks about her tattoos and touching her back. Yikes!
Luckily, she spotted a group of people nearby and ran to them for help. That’s when Jones decided to bolt. The whole thing was just so unsettling.
Police Inspector Andrew Davies spoke out about the incident, saying they’re committed to tackling violence against women. He praised the victim for being brave during such a scary situation.
He also mentioned that this kind of experience can really stick with someone, affecting how safe they feel. The court even issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order to keep Jones from bothering women in the future. Good call!
