Haltwhistle Residents Invited to Share Input on Local Transport Plan
Residents of Haltwhistle are encouraged to voice their opinions on the Local Transport Plan by participating in a public consultation.
Haltwhistle, North East England, Public Transport, Community Consultation
The Haltwhistle Labour Group is really pushing for input from rural communities, including Haltwhistle and the South Tyne Valley. They want to hear what people think about improving the public transport network.
To make it easier, they’re hosting an open-door event on Friday, January 17, from 1 PM to 6 PM at the Old Booking Hall, Haltwhistle Station. It’s a great chance to drop by and share your views.
Rachel Mathieson is leading the event, and there will be volunteers on hand to help anyone who needs assistance with the online or paper survey.
The group is stressing the need for public transport that’s affordable, eco-friendly, safe, reliable, and accessible for everyone, including wheelchair users.
If you can’t make it to the drop-in, you can still fill out the survey online at northeastca.gov.uk/localtransportplan.
You can also send your thoughts by writing to the North East Combined Authority or emailing haveyoursay@northeast-ca.gov.uk.
They’re really hoping to see a good turnout from the community, so don’t miss out on this chance to make your voice heard!
