Manchester: So, you won’t believe what happened! Fans of One Direction were totally bummed out when they showed up for a charity concert film and found out it was canceled. The film, “This is Us,” was supposed to play at the Odeon in Great Northern on January 14.
Picture this: everyone was settled in, popcorn in hand, ready for a fun night. But just ten minutes before the show was set to start, an announcement came that the screening was off. Apparently, there was a technical glitch—something about sound and projection that just couldn’t be fixed in time.
Marcus Owramenko, who was there, snapped some pics of the crowd leaving, and it was a sad sight. He mentioned that the room was packed with mostly young girls, all excited for the film. After the news broke, they were told they could get refunds, which was a small consolation.
Odeon later apologized for the hassle. They said they tried their best, but sometimes things just don’t go as planned. The film was a special one-time showing to honor their late band member, Liam Payne, and all ticket sales were meant to support mental health charities.
It’s such a shame that fans couldn’t enjoy the night they were looking forward to. Here’s hoping they get another chance soon!
