Gosford: So, there was this wild incident over the weekend. A guy got charged for firing a gun during a fight at his place in regional NSW. It all went down on Sunday evening.

Police got the call around 6:30 PM after someone reported hearing a gunshot. They rushed over to Gertrude Street and found the scene pretty tense.

Apparently, a 56-year-old man had a heated argument with another guy, and then, boom, a shot was fired. Luckily, it only hit a brick wall, and no one got hurt.

Officers from the Brisbane Water Police District showed up, set up a perimeter, and turned the place into a crime scene. They were serious about it.

They ended up seizing a double-barrel shotgun, some ammo, and even a machete. All of that stuff is going to be checked out further.

The 56-year-old was arrested just before 8 PM and taken to the Gosford Police Station. He’s facing some serious charges, including firing a gun at a house and having a shortened firearm without permission.

He’s been denied bail and is scheduled to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Monday. Quite the drama, huh?
