San Antonio: So, Popovich finally spoke up after his mild stroke back in November. He shared a heartfelt message about his recovery and the support he’s received.

He mentioned how overwhelming the love from fans, friends, and the Spurs organization has been. It’s clear he’s feeling the warmth from everyone around him.

Popovich joked about his rehab team, saying they’ve realized he’s not the easiest guy to coach. But hey, that’s just classic Pop, right?

While he’s eager to get back to coaching, there’s no set date for his return. In the meantime, Mitch Johnson has been stepping in, and the Spurs are holding their own with an 11-10 record.

As the winningest coach in NBA history and a five-time champion, Popovich has the power to decide when he’ll be back. For now, he’s just looking forward to it.
