Grangetown, Teesside, UK, Assault, Court

Teesside: A man from Grangetown is in a bit of a pickle. Mark Bird, 40, is facing some serious charges after allegedly attacking a woman.

He showed up at Teesside Magistrates’ Court in Middlesbrough on Wednesday. The charge? Assault occasioning actual bodily harm. This all goes back to an incident that happened on March 17 last year.

Mark was dressed in a navy Fila coat and confirmed his name and date of birth. He pleaded not guilty, which means he’s gearing up for a trial. The court set the date for April.

District Judge Marie Mallon told him, “Your trial will take place on the 10th of April. I’m granting you bail to come back at 9.30am ready for a 10am start.”

Not much else was shared during the brief hearing, so we’ll have to wait and see how this unfolds.
