Mumbai: So, here’s the scoop. On Monday night, a guy and his nephew were riding their two-wheeler with a bag full of gold worth about Rs 42.27 lakh.

They were cruising along P D’Mello Road near St George Hospital when suddenly, four guys jumped out and started beating them up. It got really intense when one of the attackers pulled out a gun and fired at them before snatching the bag and taking off.

The nephew got hit in the leg pretty badly, which is just awful. After the chaos, the police were called in, and they quickly got to work. They registered a case and set up teams to catch the attackers.

Thanks to a GPS chip in the bag and some CCTV footage, the police managed to track down one of the robbers early Tuesday morning near Lokmanya Tilak Marg. They didn’t stop there; they also caught another guy in Dongri and recovered gold worth Rs 16.50 lakh from him.

Now, they’re still on the hunt for the other two suspects. It’s a wild story, but it’s great to see the police using tech to crack down on crime like this!
