Whistler: Backcountry skiing has really taken off since 2020. With ski resorts facing capacity limits during the pandemic, many skiers started exploring the backcountry. This trend hasn’t slowed down at all. In fact, the market for ski touring gear is expected to hit nearly $9.6 billion by 2028.
