Sydney: So, here’s the scoop. A law firm down under, Maurice Blackburn, is taking on General Motors. They’ve filed a class action lawsuit claiming that some Holden cars have dodgy transmission systems.

This lawsuit is aimed at folks who bought certain Holden models between January 2011 and December 2024. Apparently, these cars have been acting up with issues like shuddering and leaking transmission fluid. Not cool, right?

The law firm says GM didn’t meet the quality standards set by Australian Consumer Law and might have misled buyers. GM hasn’t said anything yet, so we’re still waiting to hear their side.

Remember, GM stopped making Holden cars back in 2021 because sales were tanking. They figured it wasn’t worth it to keep making cars for right-hand drive markets. Now, this class action is looking for compensation for those affected, but we don’t know how many cars are involved or how much money they’re after.
