Sunshine Coast: You won’t believe what just happened! A paraglider got caught in a crazy mid-air crash, and it was all caught on camera. It was intense!
So, here’s the scoop. A woman and a man were paragliding when they collided and fell about 30 meters onto a sandy cliff. Talk about a wild ride!
Luckily, the LifeFlight crew was on it. They winched the woman to safety after the accident. She was hurt pretty badly, with some abdominal and back injuries, but the guy was fine.
Some other paragliders who were flying nearby landed on the beach and rushed back up the cliff to help. It’s amazing how people come together in tough times.
An off-duty doctor from the Australian Defence Force was there too. He jumped in to give first aid while the helicopter crew got ready to help.
In the end, the woman was stabilized and flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment. What a day for paragliding, huh?
