Gloucester: So, Adam Hastings, the fly-half for Glasgow Warriors, just got hit with a driving ban. He was caught using his phone while driving and speeding, which isn’t great for a pro athlete.

He ended up with a six-month ban and had to cough up £618 in fines. The court found out he was using his phone for about five seconds while driving on the A40. Not the best move, right?

On top of that, he was also caught speeding in London last year. He was going 37 in a 30 zone, which added to his trouble. With six points already on his license, he was looking at disqualification.

During the court session, the prosecutor shared that police saw him swerving a bit before they pulled him over. They noticed he was on his phone, and it didn’t look good.

Hastings didn’t show up for the hearing but admitted to both charges. His lawyer tried to downplay it, saying it was just a quick chat on the phone and maybe some potholes causing the swerving.

He’s part of a well-known rugby family, following in his dad Gavin’s footsteps. Hastings is back with Glasgow Warriors after playing for Bath and Gloucester before. He seems pretty sorry about the whole thing and promises it won’t happen again.
