Glasgow: A student from Glasgow is making waves with his plans for a festival. Umran Ali Javaid has been on a mission, delivering ambulances to some of the most dangerous places in the world.

He’s driven emergency vehicles to conflict zones like Ukraine and Gaza, helping to evacuate civilians and provide medical care. It’s pretty inspiring stuff!

Last year, he took an ambulance to the Polish-Ukrainian border to assist refugees fleeing the Russian invasion. He’s already donated over 30 rescue vehicles to places like Burma, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen.

Most recently, he delivered another ambulance to the Egypt-Gaza border, bringing his total to more than 40 emergency vehicles sent to troubled areas.

Now, he’s gearing up for a big event called Fun For Life Fest in Tollcross Park this August. The goal? To raise money for more ambulances!

Umran wants to buy 15 more ambulances, with 14 going to various countries and one staying in the UK for a care home. The festival will feature musicians, comedians, and even a ferris wheel!

He’s super excited about it and hopes to turn this one-day festival into a three-day event in the future. It’s a family-friendly gathering, aiming to bring together around 15,000 people.

Umran shared that he’s been planning this for a while and has a great team helping him out. He’s really looking forward to seeing everything come together.

As the festival wraps up, the ambulances will head off to their new homes around the world. It’s a dream come true for him to organize this festival!
