Glasgow: So, there’s been a bit of a situation with the Kingston Bridge. Some concrete fell down, and now they’ve closed off a few roads to sort it out.

This all kicked off early Monday morning when emergency services got called to Paisley Road West. They had to shut the road while they cleaned up the mess. Thankfully, it’s back open now.

But here’s the thing: Amey, the company in charge, is going to do some extra inspections on the bridge. They’re shutting down parts of Paisley Road West again for a few nights this week to make sure everything’s safe.

They’ll be working from 8 PM to 5 AM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. So, if you’re in the area, keep an eye out for those closures.

An Amey spokesperson mentioned that they had someone check the site right after the incident, which helped get the road reopened quickly. They do regular inspections, but this weather has caused some unexpected issues.

Police Scotland confirmed they got the report about the concrete falling around 3 AM. They’ve cleared the road, but it’s a reminder to stay alert when driving around there.

Make sure to stay updated with local news, especially if you’re commuting through Glasgow. It’s always good to know what’s happening on the roads!
