Ammanford: A 14-year-old girl was found guilty of attempted murder. She attacked two teachers and a pupil at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman in West Wales.

The girl, whose name is not revealed, admitted to wounding and possessing a knife. However, she denied the attempted murder charges.

After a week-long trial, the jury found her guilty on all counts. She will be sentenced in April.

The incident happened on April 24 last year. The girl brought her father’s fishing tool to school, leading to a violent episode.

When a teacher told her she couldn’t enter a hall, the girl reacted aggressively. She pulled out a knife and threatened the teacher.

She then attacked a pupil after being moved to another area. Both teachers suffered serious injuries.

The court learned that the girl took a knife to school daily. Her father usually checked her bag but missed it that day.

During the trial, the jury saw CCTV footage of the attack. The girl made unsettling comments after the incident.

She expressed concern about being in the news, saying it was a way to be a celebrity. She later questioned how to face her family.

In her defense, she claimed she had been bullied and felt anxious. She said the attack was out of character for her.

After the verdict, one of the teachers expressed that no one wants to see a teenager punished for such actions. She emphasized the need for safety in schools.

The girl will be sentenced on April 28.
