Palm Beach Gardens: So, there’s this big election coming up on March 11, and it’s getting a bit heated. A guy named Scott Gilow is running against Marcie Tinsley, the current council member. He’s not too happy about how the city’s been handling plans for a new ice rink at Plant Drive Park. He thinks they’re not being open enough about it.

Gilow, who’s 50 and runs a bike shop, feels it’s time for a change. He’s worried that the rink will mess up the park and create traffic issues. He’s not planning to make the rink his main campaign focus, but he wants to show that the city needs to listen to its residents more.

Tinsley, on the other hand, has been a bit quiet about the rink. She had to step back from voting on it before because of a conflict of interest, but now she says she’ll be able to vote on it next time. She’s all about fiscal responsibility and thoughtful development, and she wants to finish what she started.

There’s also another council seat up for grabs, with John Kemp and Chuck Millar going head-to-head. It’s shaping up to be an interesting election season in Palm Beach Gardens, that’s for sure!
