The 18-year-old victim was brutally stabbed nine times after being dragged to the ground. The attackers hurled transphobic slurs at her during the assault.
This whole thing started as revenge after one of the attackers found out she was transgender following a sexual encounter. They were furious and plotted to beat her up.
Summer Betts-Ramsey, one of the attackers, got over eight years in jail for her role in the stabbing. The victim shared how the attack left her with deep scars and trust issues.
She mentioned having panic attacks and struggling to sleep since the incident. It’s heartbreaking to think she might not be able to pursue her modeling dreams because of her injuries.
Betts-Ramsey and her friends, including three other boys and a girl, all admitted to causing serious harm. They had been part of a Snapchat group that turned nasty.
After the attack, they even bragged about it on social media, which is just sickening. The victim was left in a terrible state, and it’s a miracle she got help in time.
