Lurgan: It’s a tough time for the community as they prepare to say goodbye to Agnieszka Kreitner, a truly inspiring young woman. She fought Stage Four cancer with such bravery after being diagnosed in 2021.

Aga, as her friends called her, passed away peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on January 14. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and fiancée, and her loss is deeply felt.

Her family shared how much she meant to them, describing her as a cherished granddaughter and a loving aunt. Just recently, she got engaged to Maciej, sharing the joyful news with everyone on Christmas Eve.

Friends have been sharing heartfelt tributes, remembering her strength and spirit. One former colleague expressed how beautiful and inspiring she was, saying she never let her illness get her down.

Another fellow cancer fighter shared their condolences, recalling how they met during treatment and how Aga’s suffering is now over. It’s clear she touched many lives.

Aga will be at McAlinden & Murtagh’s Funeral Home on Friday from 2 PM to 6 PM for family and friends to pay their respects. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at St. Peter’s Church, with burial following at St. Colman’s Cemetery.

Family flowers only, but donations can be made to Young Lives vs Cancer in her memory. It’s a sad time, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
