Richmond: Funeral directors are back with a £10,000 community grants scheme. This year, they’re inviting local organizations within three miles of their funeral homes to apply for funding.

The grants aim to support activities that enhance residents’ quality of life. Projects should focus on health, education, employment, or tackling poverty and social issues.

Some groups that have already received help include Richmond Town Football Club’s under 16s girls’ team and Dementia Forward. These organizations are making a real difference in the community.

James Blenkiron, a business principal, expressed pride in supporting local initiatives. He emphasized the importance of building long-term relationships with community groups.

James mentioned, “Many groups do vital work and need local business support.” He’s thankful for the chance to help through their parent company, Funeral Partners.

If you know of a project that could use some funding, reach out to them. The fund will be distributed in three cycles this year, with the first cycle open for applications now.

For more details about the community fund and how to apply, visit their website. You can also email them for specific questions about the program.
