Glasgow: A family has faced a heartbreaking loss after a fire destroyed their home and took their cat, Harry. It’s just so tragic.
The fire broke out on Fairbairn Path in Bridgeton around 4:45 PM on January 11. You could see thick black smoke from far away. Emergency services jumped into action.
Firefighters worked for four long hours to get the flames under control. Sadly, a child was among those treated by paramedics, and Harry didn’t make it.
Chloe Bruce, a neighbor, felt compelled to help and started a GoFundMe for the family. She shared how the young boy lost his best friend in this awful incident.
In her fundraiser, Chloe wrote about the family losing everything, including their Christmas gifts. It’s just heartbreaking to think about what they’re going through.
Chloe’s goal is to raise some funds to help them start over. She’s asking for any donations, no matter how small, to help them rebuild their lives.
A spokesperson from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the fire and mentioned that they had to treat three people, including a child. It’s just so sad that one cat lost its life.
They made sure the area was safe before leaving around 8:50 PM. If you want to help, you can donate through the GoFundMe link.
It’s a tough time for this family, and any support would mean the world to them.
