North Ayrshire: The Asda Foundation is rolling out grants ranging from £500 to £3,000. This funding aims to spruce up community spaces and make them more inviting.

Councillor Tony Gurney is encouraging local residents and groups to jump on this opportunity and apply for the funds. It’s a great chance to bring your ideas to life!

Since 2012, the foundation has poured £50 million into communities all over the UK. That’s a lot of support for local initiatives!

For this round of funding, they have £500,000 available. They’re looking for projects that can turn outdoor areas into greener spaces, enhance community gardens, or even organize clean-up events in parks and beaches.

Gurney mentioned that there’s plenty of fantastic work happening in the community. Sometimes, all it takes is a little cash to kickstart a new idea or improve an existing one.

This is just the first wave of grants from the Asda Foundation for 2025, with over £3 million set aside for grassroots groups. So, if you’ve got a project in mind, don’t hesitate!
