Gloucestershire: The big freeze is finally over, and the flood warnings have been lifted after some pretty rough weather. But, heads up, a few roads are still closed today because of flooding.

After those chilly sub-zero days, the forecast looks much better. We’re expecting dry weather with some sunny spells, and temperatures should stay above freezing.

There’s still a flood alert for the River Severn, but thankfully, no Flood Warnings are in effect anymore. The A417 at Maisemore has reopened, which is good news!

Here’s a quick rundown of the roads that are still closed due to flooding, according to the traffic site Inrix. This list was updated early this morning.

  • Ham Road, Tirley, is closed in both directions from B4213 to White End.
  • Howells Road in Tewkesbury is also closed in both directions from Oldfield to Swilgate Road.
  • Northway Lane One Way Street in Tewkesbury is shut due to flooding from A438 Ashchurch Road.
  • Sandhurst Road, Gloucester, is closed in both directions from A417 to Wallsworth turning.
  • Two Mile Lane, Highnam, is closed in both directions from The Golf Club to the Gloucester turn off.
  • Wainlode Lane, Lower Apperley, is closed in both directions between Ledbury turn off and Old Tewkesbury Road.

Looking ahead, today should be mostly dry with some sunshine, though it might be a bit cloudy in parts of Cornwall and Devon. Temperatures will be around 8 °C.

Tonight, expect a dry evening with gentle winds and some clear spells, but watch out for a patchy frost in the east. Minimum temperature will be around 3 °C.

Tomorrow looks like it’ll be mostly dry but a bit cloudy, with temperatures reaching about 10 °C.

For the rest of the week, it should stay generally dry, with some clouds and a few bright spots. Just keep an eye out for patchy frost and fog overnight.
