Fugitive Spennymoor Dealer Was Once a Northern League Footballer

Spennymoor: So, it turns out Daryll Hall, a 39-year-old guy from Spennymoor, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for some serious drug charges. He was a well-known player in the Northern League until just last year.
Hall was one of the last four guys linked to a drug and firearms gang from West Yorkshire to get sentenced. All ten of them together got a whopping 118 years in total for their crimes over the past couple of years.
Apparently, Hall was a big customer for the gang, regularly getting cocaine delivered to him. He was supposed to show up for his trial but went missing, claiming he was in Thailand. A sick note was even sent to the court for him!
The judge decided to go ahead with the trial without him, and once he was found guilty of conspiracy to supply drugs, a warrant was issued for his arrest. The National Crime Agency is still trying to track him down.
After the news broke, a local columnist reminisced about Hall’s football days, and he even got a message that seemed to be from Hall himself, joking about meeting for a pint in Spennymoor.
It’s wild how much attention this case has gotten. The columnist mentioned that his blog traffic skyrocketed after he wrote about Hall. He even joked about Hall’s mugshot, saying he looked rough because he had been “pepper-sprayed to death.” Hall was known as “Dash” back in his football days.
Hall had a solid football career, playing for teams like South Shields and West Auckland. He was a big guy on the field, and people remembered him for his presence. He even dabbled in boxing for a bit, scoring a couple of knockouts.
Now, it looks like he’s on the run, and who knows when he’ll be caught. It’s a crazy turn of events for someone who was once a local sports figure.
