Cars stranded on the A555 for a week are finally being recovered after severe flooding

Manchester: So, it looks like the A555 is finally getting some action. Those poor cars that got stuck there for a whole week are being pulled out now. It all started when heavy rains hit on New Year’s Day, causing some serious flooding.
As the water started to go down, the road opened up a bit, but then the snow and ice came in, making things worse again. It’s been a real mess, with cars just sitting there, frozen in place.
But today, recovery trucks are finally on the scene. I saw some photos of a silver Jaguar, a grey Mercedes, and a black BMW being taken away. It’s about time, right?
The A555 has been closed for a while now, especially between Woodford and Handforth. It’s kind of a bummer because this road has had flooding issues since it opened back in 2018. Let’s hope they figure it out soon!
