Fresh Arrests Over Edinburgh Bonfire Night Disorder Spark Concerns

Police have made new arrests in Edinburgh following Bonfire Night disturbances, totaling over 60 arrests.

Edinburgh: A 17-year-old was arrested in Broomhall. A 16-year-old was taken into custody in Saughton.

Three more males, two aged 17 and one aged 25, were arrested. They are linked to incidents on Calder Road and Captains Road.

Four males, aged 15, 16, 19, and 27, have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal for their involvement in Captains Road incidents.

Police Scotland shared a video showing youths throwing fireworks in Edinburgh. So far, over 60 people have been arrested for offences on November 5, with 41 linked to Edinburgh.

Chief Superintendent David Robertson urged anyone with information or evidence to contact Police Scotland. He emphasized that those involved will face justice, even if it takes time.

He added that enforcement will continue whenever sufficient evidence is gathered.
